Collection: Boerewors
Boerewors is a South African sausage made from coarsely minced beef, sometimes mixed with pork or lamb, and spiced with coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. It is preserved with salt and vinegar, packed in a casing, and traditionally shaped into a spiral. Boerewors is commonly braaied but can also be grilled, roasted, or pan-fried—without pricking the casing to retain moisture. It’s often served with pap and is popular in South African communities worldwide. A well-known variation is the "boerie roll," a boerewors hotdog with tomato, chili, and onion relish.
